Welcome Family!

Since I heard that our family was originally called Wiltens, I wondered how that came to be. The stories vary from 'a countess wanting to keep her name' to 'a mistake in the civil registry.'

I want to share the results of my research, and you will notice that the question 'but why?' remains unanswered.
