Bargsigt was the house of Euphemia Clementina (Effie) in Ommen.
Built in 1924, and her husband had a large extension added to it in 1935.

Effie opened her house for many friends and artists who stayed with her very often.
And of course, also for her family.
Dolphi had put her memories into this book.
In 2019 I asked the owner of Bargsigt if I could visit, because the house once was in the family.
And yes, I was allowed!

In the hall, there is a painting on the ceiling depicting the night sky from Effies wedding night.

Our family crest is depicted on the front door.

And this is the staircase, as mentioned in Voorvaderen I, where the paintings by Water Meerwijk hung, painted by the first Andrée Wiltens: Johan Frederik Hubert.

Gustaaf Adolf often stayed at Bargsigt during weekends while studying. There he met his wife: Fennigje was Effie's personal maid.
